EVV REQUIREMENTS/DOUBLE CHECKS
With the “changes” coming to EVV starting on 10/1/25 there are a couple things that I want to make everyone aware of that we have learned in the last couple days.
First, If an entry must be modified or changed after it has been created and saved, there are a couple important things that need to occur. The modifications to an entry can only be to the time and must overlap original entry. Overlap refers to the adjusted time must overlap the original call times in some way. If you have a 12-2pm original call time, then the adjusted times must either start or end within that 12-2pm call window. For example; 11:30-1:30, or 1:30-3:30. Date, code, or individual changes CANNOT be made to an entry. If a Date, Code, or Individual change needs to be made, it must be reentered AND the incorrect entry MUST be DELETED. Deleting the entry is Very Important as the system sends the deleted record to Sandata and there will be no duplicate. If there are duplicate entries on Sandata, DODD will be denying billing.
Second, Anyone Providing Direct Care Services Checking that Location Services are turned on
Double check to ensure that location services are enable on devices for anyone providing services (DSPs, Supervisors, Directors, Etc.) Below I’ve included instructions on how to check and ensure this is enabled. When you login to Anywhere, if you are seeing a popup that says “Your location blocked by service or browser”, you need to check your settings as directed below and enable location services in your browser or device. You can set your browser to allow in two ways, while using the app, or ask next time or when I share. If you choose to set it to ask, it will ask you to allow each time you log in. If you do so, ensure you are tapping allow after you login.
Below is a guide to assist you in checking/changing your location services settings to allow access.
Apple iPhone/ iOS
Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Location Services
Once there at the top ensure Location Services is enabled
Then scroll down and find the app for the browser you are using, default for iPhones is Safari Websites. Tap there then ensure you have a check mark next to ASK NEXT TIME or WHEN I SHARE, or WHILE USING THE APP.
If you use chrome as your browser on an iPhone find Chrome and set the same as above.
Android
Open the Settings app: Find and tap the gear icon on your home screen or in the app drawer.
Navigate to Location: Scroll down and tap on Location or, on some devices, you might need to tap on Security & Location first.
Enable Location Services: At the top of the Location screen, make sure the toggle switch for Location is turned to the On position.
App permissions: You can also tap on App permissions to choose how specific apps can use your location (e.g., “Allow only while using the app” or “Allow all the time”). If utilizing this feature allow chrome to have access to your location.
